Founded in the 1890s, Chloride began as a battery design and manufacturing company. Throughout its long history, Chloride has expanded its expertise through strategic acquisitions, including AEES (France), Power & Electronic Services Limited (Ireland), Siemens’ UK UPS service division, and ONEAC. In 2010, Chloride Group was fully acquired by Emerson Electric. After several acquisitions and rebranding efforts, the management team led a buyout in 2021, restoring the company’s original name—Chloride, which had previously been rebranded as Vertiv in 2016.
